Information About our Adult Dogs
Imported from the United States, these two have shown the desired qualities of anything we would have wished them to do. One loves being a herding dog with her sheep and goats, a well adjusted happy farm dog and the other is living the city life as our stud dog. They have become wonderful companions and we couldn't be happier. Their offspring will be sure to exhibit some of the finest qualities you could want for almost anything in the poodle world. Both are OFA certified.
The OFA created the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) by partnering with participating parent clubs to research and maintain information on the health issues prevalent in specific breeds. OFA has established a recommended protocol for breed-specific health screenings. Dogs tested in accordance with that protocol are recognized with a CHIC number and certification.
OFA recognizes that the more information stored and accessible in these databases, the better it will be for every breed. Thus, they encourage all breeders to attain CHIC Certification if their breed participates in the CHIC program.
A dog achieves CHIC Certification if it has been screened for every disease recommended by the parent club for that breed and those results are publicly available in the database.
Calypso
Embark Clear, OFA certified. Our pride and joy ! Calypso is a Sable, small structured girl (22 inches at the shoulder, 45 lbs.) who loves to be a true farm dog. She is out doing the chores everyday and herding her sheep. Her duties include catching any stray mice and keeping the goats in line. A great addition to our farm. Very alert and protective, she always let's us know of any intruders and is also a loving gentle couch potato!
Phoenix Valentino
This beautiful boy is 24 inches at the shoulder, 50 lbs of pure love. Embark Clear. OFA/CHIC certified. This red male has shown such agility, form and grace. He has a medium prey drive and has shown qualities as a therapy dog with his alertness and attentiveness (He loves to cuddle). We are sure his puppies will be perfect for someone that needs a lifeline dog. His pups will make a great companion for someone that wants a loyal, highly intelligent companion that is always eager to learn and please.
